Turning All the Politically Incorrect Into Criminals

Ayn Rand said it best: "There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible to live without breaking laws." (Atlas Shrugged)

Question: how long before people who put up blogs like this one, or routinely publish articles attempting to expose the various facets of the emerging New World Order, are targeted by the Regime and taken down?

There’s only one reason for having tens of thousands of laws on the books. The government wants to be able to use these laws to punish political opponents.

When the Indonesian dictator Suharto wanted to put an opponent in jail, he simply had his version of the IRS determine if the targeted individual had failed to obey every single tax law on their books. Odds were that the political dissident had missed one of the thousands of laws and regulations, and another political opponent was sent to jail without the stigma of admitting that there were politicial prisoners.

Both Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton had political opponents audited by the IRS as a form of intimidation. Clinton systematically targeted right wing political organizations for audits while NOT ONE leftist political organization was audited while he was president.

Randy Weaver was the victim of federal oppression using an obscure law that most folks have never heard of. The Feds hired an informant to try to entrap Mr. Weaver. This operation went on for an entire year. Eventually the informant talked Weaver into shortening the barrel of a gun one quarter inch shorter than federal firearms laws allow. Weaver was dragged into the system after being entrapped by this informant. The Feds sent a team of heavily armed thugs to apprehend Randy, who killed his son. Later during a siege, an FBI sniper, Lon Horiuchi murdered Randy Weaver’s wife, Vicki. The Feds didn’t like the way Randy Weaver thought and they deliberately went after him. How long before they start targeting people like us?

With the universal, computer monitoring of phone conversations, the Feds will increasingly be able to target anyone who harbors politically incorrect thoughts. (I’m hoping that the Feds discover HUGE numbers of closet racists and anti-Semites -not affiliated with any organizations- with their new found spying methods.)

We have to be vigilant against any erosion of freedom such as the recent announcement that police can break into our homes without announcing themselves first. While these laws may first be used against drug dealers, it’s only a matter of time before a corrupt mayor, governor or president will use these tactics against anyone who is attacking his policies or exposing his lies. Any change that allows police to kick down doors unannounced or to listen in on our cell phones without warrants should be fought relentlessly.

It’s not sufficient that you’re obeying all the laws right now. Your state could outlaw certain types of guns turning you into a “criminal” overnight. It may be a crime in your state if you refuse to hire a babysitter, who’s homosexual. People have been tracked down for buying Indian cigarettes online for taxes. In short our government is the problem. Sooner or later they will turn you into a criminal by passing laws against everything and they’ll decide to prosecute you if you say anything politically incorrect.
